Since 2000, the Order of Malta has developed a program to combat avoidable blindness.
In Morocco, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, each year it contributes to screening and provides cataract surgery kits.
On October 11th et 12th, an ophtalmological consultation took place at the Tiflet Hospital. A total of 500 consulations were conducted, and 232 cases of cataract requiring surgery were diagnosed.These oprations will take place in the next few days.
