The Ambassador

Ambassador Julien-Vincent Brunie was born in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France, on September 13, 1975.

He graduated from Limoges University of Law and the Paris Business School.

He has two children, Louis and Olympia, with his wife Olivia Brunie.

Being a Counselor of the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Rabat since 2009, he is appointed by decree of His Most Eminent Highness the Prince and Grand-Master Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to His Majesty the King of Morocco during the Sovereign Council of October 10, 2016.

On January 6, 2017 at the Royal Palace in Marrakech, he presented the credentials by which he was accredited to the Cherifian Sovereign, His Majesty Mohammed VI.

In addition to his diplomatic functions, the Ambassador has been a collaborator of the Pinault Group since 2000.

Between 2000 and 2010, he held various management positions at the jeweler Boucheron (Kering) then since 2010, the position of International Managing Director in charge of private sales at Christie’s.

He manages numerous auctions internationally and, every year, he is the auctioneer in many charities, including the worldwide foundations of Eva Longoria and Andrea Boccelli.

In 2010, he manages in Marrakech the sale of the ten years of Lalla Salma foundation against cancer, which allows the construction of two university hospitals of oncology in Morocco.

Being a committed philanthropist, Ambassador Julien Brunie is a Knight Officer of the National Order of Merit (France) awarded by François Pinault in 2022, Commander of the Order of Wissam Al Alaoui (Morocco) conferred by His Majesty Mohammed VI in 2008 and Grand-Officer of the Order of Pius IX (Holy See) conferred by His Holiness Pope Francois in 2019 after the Apostolic Journey to Morocco.

He is accredited as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea with residence in Rabat. Letter of Credentials is delivered on February 16, 2018 to His Excellency the President of the Republic at the Presidential Palace in Malabo.
