Ambassadors Keeyong Chung, of the Republic of Korea, and Julien Brunie, of the Soverign Order of Malta, signed a cooperation agreement with the purpose of organising the large-scale deployment of incubators in neonatology units across the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Order of Malta is in charge of designing the programme with local partners and authorities, and supervising its implementation, including the training of doctors in the units, in which the incubators will be placed. Postnatal care is one of the Order’s three priorities in Morocco. With approximately 70,000 births requiring special attention and a lack of elementary infrastructures, Morocco needs particular assistance in this field, in which the Order can draw on its experience to increase the country’s capacities.
